HELLS Angels Motorcycle Club members have left the Sunshine Coast with memories of traffic charges and seized motorcycles.

The 60 members from Brisbane spent an impromptu weekend at the luxury Coolum Caprice Resort, sparking a major collaborative police response from the State Road Policing Command, State Crime Operations Command and Sunshine Coast District Police.

During the weekend, police seized four Harley Davidsons and issued 19 traffic infringement notices, four dangerous operation of motorcycle offences and two charges for unlicensed driving.

Central Patrol Group Inspector Jason Overland said the group was heavily policed and monitored throughout the weekend.

"We are not aware of any increase in calls for services as a result of the motorcycle group's presence at Coolum," Insp Overland said.

"This is a consequence of increased policing and the capacity of police to monitor these groups wherever they are.

"Policing of outlaw motorcycle gangs continues to remain a focus of the Queensland Police Service.''
