CHARGED: A veteran member of the Gypsy Jokers has been charged with serious drug offences.

A 30-YEAR veteran and patched member of the Gypsy Jokers bikie gang has been charged with a number of serious drug offences after a series of raids by police.
Following search
warrants at a home and business premises in Maddington and Bellevue
police allegedly found approximately 440g methylamphetamine, 11g of
cannabis, more than $35,000 in cash and .22 calibre ammunition.
A 52-year-old Maddington man has been charged over the drug haul.
Serious and organised crime squad Superintendent Charlie Carver says
the man is a 30-year veteran of the Gypsy Jokers.
The 52-year-old man appeared in the Midland Magistrate’s Court today
charged with possession of methylamphetamine with intent to
sell/supply, possession of cannabis and possession of a smoking
implement.
Further inquiries in relation to another patched member of the bikie
gang over the drug haul are still being carried out.
Supt Carver said: “Previously you have heard me say that the OMCGs
(Outlaw Motor Cycle Gangs) get annoyed when I say OMCGs are
associated with drug distribution,” Supt Carver said.
“Well this shows that the apple does not fall far from the tree.”
A 30-year-old Bellevue woman was also charged with disobeying a
notice to attend court while a 16-year-old boy from Bellevue was
charged with possession of cannabis following the raids.
