Arrests after brutal bikie bashing

AN ATTACK involving alleged members of an outlaw motorcycle gang left a man severely injured in western Sydney last night.

The victim was beaten by an unknown number of offenders near Prospect Smash Repairs on Stoddart Rd about 9pm.

He suffered serious injuries to his face and was taken to Westmead Hospital, but his condition is not known.

More than eight men were arrested at the scene, according to a police spokesman.

They are allegedly linked to an OMCG and were taken to Blacktown police station and Mount Druitt police station while a crime scene was set up on the street.

Investigators placed markers near pools of blood on the footpath, front yard and nature strip.

A heavily tattooed man was walked through the crime scene and spoke to detectives before being escorted to a caged truck.

Officers carried evidence bags from Stoddart Rd and a car remained parked in the smash repairer's driveway.

A number of the men arrested last night were still being questioned by police this morning as they attempt to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

At this stage no charges have been laid.
