Shot taken in NSW after stopping to check for damage after a wooden bridge with a high approach.

Steep driveway and a manual in the rain....

While working in Brisbane I picked up this 76 for 6K. Great motor, and a 5 speed box. It used to fly. Trouble was the clutch was very long throw, and stiff...It was let down by the interior a bit, but I had in mind it could always be changed. Of course the air con didn't work....and the supposedly new compressor was stuffed. $1200 later its working well of course....

The car had the cold intake conversion done, and a few other mods that made it run pretty sweetly. It never sounded so sweet tho as when after a repair the garage left the RHS air cleaner off! I only noticed about a month later.....fortunately I hadn't been on any dirt roads..

After finishing in Brisbane I brought it back down to the Central Coast, and as the manual gearbox bit was a bit hard on my accident damaged legs, decided to sell it. Then it was out of rego, so had to change it to NSW registration. Nothings easy, this means an engineers certificate because its not a manual originally.

It only! takes a matter of a few weeks for the engineer to come and have a look.....And there's a problem, the cross member for the trans is homemade, and looks a bit under sized. Not too much of a problem, source one from Queensland and give it to the garage.

4 months!!! later the cars registered in NSW, at a total cost of about $2500.

Decide to sell it on ebay. Sells for 5k, and its to a guy in Queensland. ho hum...

engine compartment was reasonably tidy and leak free

Scruffy interior, but rewired which was something...

I still love the look of these....

Wooden steering wheel improved the interior, I hate those skinny old ones...
